Commissioned by the municipality of Auderghem, Jacques Delens is constructing a public building on Boulevard du Triomphe that will house various services and facilities serving the community.
The mobile battery system implemented at the site is tailored for the construction industry and supports the transition of construction sites to renewable energy sources. This strategic shift from diesel to mobile battery units aligns with Jacques Delens’ sustainability goals and significantly boosts the efficiency of its urban construction projects.
The system’s plug-and-play setup ensures quick deployment and adaptability, which are essential for meeting the dynamic demands of modern construction environments. The company, together with the Plant & Equipment Department of BESIX, is exploring further opportunities to replace generators with battery packs on additional sites and is also considering investing in its first electric crane truck.
This initiative sets a new standard for sustainability in construction, demonstrating that operational efficiency and environmental responsibility can indeed go hand in hand.
