BESIX Infra wins Aquafin’s Partnership Award

On 15 November, Aquafin sewage treatment plant presented its annual awards. This award ceremony spotlighted consultancies, engineering firms and contractors with the highest-quality and most environmentally focused work over the past year. Family business Desot NV from Ypres took home the Less Nuisance Award for contractors this year. Gemoco from Bilzen followed in second place and Wegenwerken De Moor from Wetteren came a well-deserved third. Congratulations to the winner and the nominees!

For the first time Aquafin also presented a Partnership Award for the project in which all project partners lifted the final result to a higher level through perfect cooperation. They chose a sewerage project in the centre of Baal (Tremolo) with Evolta as the engineering office and BESIX Infra as the contractor. “The project had a very tight deadline, but through clever arrangements which were respected by all project partners everything went as it should. Retailers and local residents were involved in the project from an early stage, resulting in a large support base at the start of the works. Throughout the execution, the atmosphere on the construction site was excellent and the contact with the neighbourhood remained optimal,” according to Aquafin.
