A Heartwarming €9.290 for De Warmste Week

Since early November, colleagues from BESIX Infra/Belasco, BESIX Unitec, and BESIX Infra Support had been gearing up for the highlight of their joint efforts in support of De Warmste Week. With the start of the tombola ticket sales and the launch of Masked Santa, an atmosphere of excitement and joy had filled the air for weeks. Masked Santa brought plenty of mystery and laughter. Who could be hiding in the costumes of Rudolf the Reindeer, Olaf the Snowman, and Snowball the St. Bernard?
Over the weeks, three videos for each character were shared, offering clues to uncover their identities. This sparked a lively detective game and animated conversations in the workplace.

On Tuesday, December 10, the big moment finally arrived: De Warmste Markt in Boom brought everything together for an evening full of warmth, connection, and coziness. The venue was bathed in a festive Christmas atmosphere, and the stalls offered a variety of treats made by and for colleagues: cookies, pies, cakes, waffles, pancakes, mulled wine...

The evening began with the presentation of two Safety Awards, a moment to reflect on our shared and continuous commitment to safety. Next, the winners of the tombola were announced, bringing many happy faces among the participants. But the highlight of the evening was the grand reveal of the Masked Santa characters. Finally, the three figures unveiled their true identities, to everyone’s hilarity and surprise!

This event raised an impressive €9.290, a sum that will be entirely donated to De Warmste Week. This year, the funds will go towards projects fighting against loneliness.

For us, it’s about more than just work: we’re building not only infrastructure but also connections and a warmer society.
